Wearing a sombrero like they throw on your head when you go to El Torito and it’s your fucking birthday does not a Mexican make. There are however plenty of blonde Mexicans out there. They just don’t come here to this country to pick grapes. They have it too good in Mexico to move up here.

Marisa is the Chicano studies major so she’ll write more about why that is (if she hasn’t already by the time this update goes out). Basically, it’s a socioeconomic thing. There are “blacks” and “whites” in Mexico as well, and I’m sure that’s the same in other Latin American countries.
